I spoke to IO this morning regarding NC clearance for my family (7/2 filers). I was told whereas, my derivative's (wife and daughter) names have been cleared but there is no information on my clearance. She furthur told me the names were submitted on 8/30/07 and was told to wait for another month or so.
Guys: What is your take on this? I have started worrying now. Although they say 120 day processing time- My understanding is you are either cleared in few days or get stuck in the hole.

I got my I-485 approved one hour ago. I got text messages for me and my family and the USCIS online status changed to CPO.
Opened SR on 09/03. No response yet.
Took Infopass on 09/08 to track my application. Infopass helped me to know that my application was moved to Examination unit on 08/27 and on the way to IO's desk.

Thanks to IV and all other folks in the forum for the valuble information.
I am sure everyone before PD 8th May '06 will get GC's before end of the month.

If USCIS mail room is closed fedex will probably re-attempt to deliver the next business day.
Guys, Are we sure that Fedex will not deliver on saturday or sunday, what will happen if they deliver, nobody will be at USCIS to accept right, so it will still be opened only on monday ?

Consulting companies with fake skills/resumes will be busted now to get GC..
Not only consulting companies but genuine companies in the software arena will also face trouble. If I interpret it correctly, most new hires at places like Google, MSFT, Amazon etc. even if having MS from top-notch universities in the US can apply only under EB-3 as their job description will fall in Job Zone 4.
On the other hand somebody having a non-IT or CS degree from a mom&pop University can find a job, state its "research" and upgrade to Job Zone 5 and apply under EB-2.
I wonder how this will fly with the affected companies?

This is ridiculous; all I see is unnecessary hurdles being produced � I see efforts of discouragement towards coming to this country on H1B. First they suddenly start auditing 60% PERM cases and now suddenly delaying visa unreasonably�increasing Visa numbers and making Green Card processing faster is aside, we are facing other problems.
I have started speaking with senior people at DOS. On a purely procedural level I don't see why an H1 applicant who may already be in the US is not 'security cleared' at the time of giving the I-797 approval. Totally ridiculous.

Unconfirmed sources indicate that the Senate may table this bill earlier than expected. I have one PERM EB2 labor certified and I-140 PP in under process. Received an RFE for I-140 on June 1st and my company's paralegal analyst responded back on June 6th. Since then there is no news on my I-140. I have another RIR EB3 labor stuck in DBEC based on the case analyst email it should be cleared by June 30th but there is no assurnace on that. Now I am in a fix whether I should file my I-485 on the PERM EB2 where I-140 is stuck with an RFE or should wait for RIR EB3 to get approved.
Also is it possible to file I-485 on my PERM EB2 case now and later use EB3 RIR PD in EB2 case when I get my EB3 labor and I-140 approved?
Please post your experiences and advise. This is really important for me to find an answer b4 I take any step forward.

People who were skeptical before might join us next time and we might increase our numbers. This is just our first attempt. We can have a coordinated second attempt. By that I mean choosing another campaign day with IV Core. Please people don't start randomly sending things to USCIS. Let's work with IV Core and come up with a plan if we want to carry out a new campaign. If you have money to spare by sending random things to USCIS, please contribute to IV.

I only caught part of a report on Lou Dobbs regarding Beckham's visa. He received an O-visa. The Department of State (http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/types/types_1271.html) does not give the number of these visas issued every year. However, the reporter on Lou Dobbs (http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0707/13/ldt.01.html) claimed there were over 12,000 of those given out last year . Where did they get that number?

At last, after 10.5 years, 4 employers, 2 Labor filings, 1 Perm and 2 -I 140 (One from my employer and one from my spouse employer),1 - I485 filing, 2 SR, 1 senator request, 1 infopass - Got the mail - CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED for self, spouse and son.
What to do now? I dont know, for the last many years, used to think everyday about this 'CARD' and now nothing else to think about. May be, I should start thinnking about ????
But for now, Just going to relax and savor the moment.
Thanks for all the Guys, Gurus, Seniors, Juniors and all who contributed to the various discussions. I am pretty sure that I cannot stop logging to this website even I got my 'Card'. I will try to help you guys in some way or the other.

Why is this a risk? We are doing what we are supposed to do. Send packages based on our dates being current. If USCIS/DOS screws the dates we slap them with a law suit.
After such mad rush and bad news about visa bulletin revision? How many are considering to file on July 2nd and July 3rd? What is the general advice regarding filing from lawyers and oneself about sending documents on July 2nd and July 3rd?

I cannot believe you are saying this. Are you actually saying that you will let stuff like this happen just because you think your company might get rid of you if you complain? If your wife or daughter has a boss who is flashing her everyday, will you actually tell your wife or daughter to 'suck it up' and put up with it just because you fear she may not get a reference??
Laws are designed to prevent this exact kind of thing. I personally would, to quote a Hindi movie dialog, take a sledge-hammer and change the geography of the abuser's face. On a more practical note, I would lawyer up, collect evidence, spin up a multi-million dollar lawsuit, and use settlement money to sip MaiTai on some beach in Lanai, while the harasser gets to suck on cock-meat sandwiches in the nearest penitentiary.
Sense of guilt... the guy who is breaking the law should have that. Not the victim who wants a reference. C'mon grow a penis!

I've been current since July, 2010 and got RFE on Sept 10, 2010. I don't have letter with me as yet to know about RFE.
Before REF, I waited for few weeks then tried followings:
1) Took infopass : Officer sent email to expedite.
2) Wrote to Senator: got reply they would get reply in 60-90 days
3) Sent an email via attorney to TSC: got automated response.
Then I got RFE after about 2-3 weeks of these attempts.
Sent a Private Message
